faqs

do you take insurance?

My services are HSA/FSA eligible. I am also happy to provide a receipt (also called Super Bill) for you to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. However, as a solo business operator, I do not have the capacity to bill your insurance directly. Please review your specific insurance policy to understand coverage and reimbursement requirements.

do I have to get totally naked for an effective massage?

Simply put, no. I’ve provided effective treatments to people who are fully clothed, fully naked, and many configurations in between. If you choose to remove clothing, you will be appropriately draped under a sheet and blanket the entire time. Only the area being worked on will be uncovered as needed. If you keep certain items on (such as underwear or socks), I will take that as a cue to not work directly on those areas. I can apply compression over the sheet if you want an area to remain covered but still receive direct pressure. For folks who prefer to remain fully clothed, sessions will focus more on compression and stretching, rather than the more intricate work I can do with access to skin and oil.

what oils do you use?

My standard oil is Fractionated Coconut Oil. It is light, scent-free, not greasy, and soothing and hydrating for your skin. I also offer CBD and Arnica infused oils for added pain-relief as well as a rotating variety of herbal infused oils available for no extra charge. All oils used in sessions are organic, locally sourced whenever possible and stored in glass rather than plastic to preserve quality and reduce environmental impact. In addition to locally sourced oils, I use 100% natural fiber linens during every session to support a clean, comfortable, and environmentally conscious experience.

what is intra-oral massage?

Intra-oral massage is a gentle technique that provides precise care for the hidden muscle affecting your jaw, head, and neck, from inside the mouth. It may help with teeth grinding, headaches, jaw pain, facial tension, stress, neck pain, migraines, and ear aches.

how do I book an in-home session?

In-home sessions are available within a 20-mile radius of Bothell and require you to complete an inquiry form. If you’re unsure whether I travel to your neighborhood, feel free to ask. Because every home space is different, I require an inquiry form before scheduling your appointment. This allows me to learn more about your space and the type of session you’re looking for so we can ensure it’s a good fit. I will personally reach out by phone before confirming your booking. I bring everything needed for your session, including the table, 100% natural fiber linens, music, oils, and tools. All you need to provide is a quiet, comfortable space.

what are the space requirements?

Table space: My massage table is about the size of a twin bed. I need enough room to comfortably move around all sides of the table. Access: My equipment is heavy. Please let me know in advance if there are stairs required to access your space. Environment: Pets should be kept away from the treatment space during the session. If you're unsure whether your space will work, we can schedule a brief FaceTime call to walk through it together.

where are you located at blinnergy?

Blinnergy Fitness + Wellness has parking available near both the front and back entrances. If spots are full, additional street parking is nearby. Please enter through the front entrance, and I will meet you at the front desk to check you in for your appointment.

do I need a doctor’s note for pregnancy massage?

In most cases, no. However, if you are navigating a high-risk pregnancy, I do require a note from your healthcare provider stating that you are cleared for massage therapy.
